Background

Tye Engineering was started by Nick Tye in 1999. Nick has many years experience of manufacturing and maintaining agricultural machinery, having originally trained as an agricultural engineer. This knowledge and experience of welding and fabrication within the agricultural business allowed Nick to become a specialist in all types of steel fabrication. In 2004, after numerous years of manufacturing and installing gates and railings, we were asked if we were able to provide gate automation services. After gaining specialist training we began the installation and servicing of automated gates, garage doors and intercom systems. In 2010 we started supplying, manufacturing and installing structural steel. A year later Nicks son, Edward joined the business and now runs the structural steel side of the business. In 2016, Nicks son in law, James, joined the team and now runs the gate manufacturing and automation side of the business along side Nick.
